Our company was built around a different approach to event entertainment. We moved away from outdated DJ routines, scripted audience participation, gimmicky props, and pre-made playlists in favor of a modern, polished experience centered around exceptional music, elegant presentation, and a packed dance floor.
Every event is mixed live by an experienced DJ who knows how to read the room, build energy, and adapt throughout the night. We do not rely on games or forced participation to create excitement. Instead, we let great music, smooth transitions, and genuine guest interaction drive the celebration.
Behind every event is more than two decades of professional production experience. Our sister company, aheProductions LLC, began in New York and provides full-service audiovisual production for large-scale meetings, corporate events, and live productions nationwide. That background influences everything we do - from our attention to detail and equipment standards to our preparation, reliability, and presentation.

Al Engels • Owner & Creative Director/Lead DJ
Originally from New York, Al Engels is the Founder, Owner, and Lead DJ of aheProductions Entertainment. With more than 25 years of entertainment and production experience, Al has become one of the Tampa Bay area's most recognized wedding DJs, known for creating elegant celebrations, packed dance floors, and unforgettable guest experiences.
Before entering the wedding industry, Al's career began in television and live event production, working with CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, and some of the nation's largest audiovisual production companies. He has produced and DJ'd high-profile corporate events for nationally recognized brands, performed at NFL events, and traveled throughout the country providing production support for large-scale meetings, conventions, and live events.
Known for his signature quick-mixing style, creative wordplay, seamless transitions, and ability to read a crowd, Al creates high-energy dance floors that feel more like an upscale nightclub than a traditional wedding reception. Every event is mixed live in real time, allowing the music to evolve naturally based on the energy of the room rather than relying on a pre-made playlist.
Beyond performing, Al is respected throughout the DJ industry and has been invited to speak at DJ conferences and trade shows, sharing his knowledge on live mixing, event production, and creating unforgettable guest experiences. His passion for raising the standard of wedding entertainment continues to influence both aspiring DJs and seasoned professionals alike.
Today, Al remains actively involved in the company's day-to-day operations, mentors the aheProductions DJ team, and continues to perform at many of the company's weddings. His philosophy is simple: every celebration should feel effortless, look exceptional, and leave guests talking about it long after the last dance.
Mandy Engels is the Co-Owner of aheProductions Entertainment and our Lead Master of Ceremonies. As Tampa Bay's only dedicated female wedding MC, she brings a warm, engaging personality, polished presentation, and contagious energy to every celebration. Born and raised in Tampa, Mandy is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for every couple she works with.
With years of dance, choreography, and group fitness instruction, Mandy knows how to connect with a crowd and create an atmosphere that feels fun, natural, and inviting. Whether she is introducing your grand entrance, coordinating special moments, or helping bring guests onto the dance floor, she does it with confidence, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
Mandy also has an extensive background in strategic marketing and corporate presentations, giving her exceptional public-speaking skills and a meticulous eye for detail. She works closely with your DJ, planner, photographer, venue team, and other vendors to keep your timeline on track and ensure every part of your celebration flows seamlessly.
